In this recipe, you'll use either the Chuhara supari (pronounced soo-pa-ree and made up of dried dates) or the candy. NEVER use both—the Mukhwas will turn out to be too sweet if both are used.

  1. Heat a flat pan on a medium flame till hot.
  2. Roast the aniseed till mildly aromatic and slightly darker. Remove from pan and chill completely.
  3. Repeat the roasting procedure with the dhania dal and also the sesame seeds.
  4. Put the sesame seeds on a flat plate and add the drops of red coloring to them. Mix well until all the seeds are coated. Keep aside and let it dry fully.
  5. Do something similar with the dhania dal and also the green coloring.
  6. Now put all the ingredients together on a large bowl and blend well.

  • 2 tbsp dried mint
  • 2 tbsp licorice powder
b. Instructions:

    Roast all seeds (apart from sugar-coated fennel seeds) on a pan for a couple of minutes (optional). Let cool and add the remaining of the ingredients.
